The Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) is a anti-terrorist agency created by then President Ben Cunningham in response to the 1993 Global Trade Center bombing and is somewhat similar to the FBI/NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force and the CIA Counterterrorist Center. CTU's headquarters are in Chicago, with satellite operations in major cities where threats are likely. CTU's primary mission is to disrupt and foil foreign and domestic terror cells that are hostile to the Federal Republic, as well as protect it from terrorist attacks. With an office in nearly every major city, CTU also has a role in creating security policy and fighting groups of organized crime, which fund or support terrorism.
On the mainland there are three major districts that CTU works, West, Midwest and East Districts. Due to the amount of territories under the Federal Republic a new Office is currently underway, CTU Global Office which will have an office in every territory.
Currently CTU offices are run by a Director who the Senior Agent of Field Operations and the Chief of Staff report to. Departments within a CTU office include Communications , Logistics and Intelligence, and Tactical Command. Communications and Logistics personnel report directly to the Chief of Staff, whereas Tactical personnel are deployed into a 6 man Tactical Teams by the Senior Agent of Field Operations.

League of Anti-Terrorist Operations Logistics Center
Currently under construction the Logistics center serves as one of the many buildings under the League of Anti-Terrorists where personnel from all members of the League work together for information/intelligence gathering and distributing. The building will feature many state of the art security designs such as NBC metal detectors installed in the entrance of the building, 2 inch thick transparent aluminum bullet resistant glass, metal gates that will rise up to form a defensive 20 foot wall surrounding the building during an attack to an underground bunker for a worst case scenario.
